Prof. em. Benjamin M. W. Tsui, BS, AM, PhD, FIEEE, FIOP, FAIMBE has worked as a faculty member in the Schools of Medicine at the University of Chicago, the University of Chapel Hill, and Johns Hopkins University, with Joint appointments in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. His research interests include medical imaging physics, computer generated phantoms, simulation techniques, image reconstruction methods, image quality evaluation, multi-modality preclinical & clinical SPECT/CT, PET/CT and SPECT/MR. He has over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and over 200 other publications including conference proceedings papers and book chapters. He is the recipient of the IEEE Edward J. Hoffman Medical Imaging Scientist Award in 2009 and the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) Edward J. Hoffman Award in 2015.
